Gorging: National Donut Day
At both Manhattan Krispy Kremes

2 Penn Plz, in Penn Station
Hot on the heels of Memorial Day, today is National Donut Day, and Krispy Kreme's commemorating by handing out one free 'nut to customers. Obviously, you should go for the biggest pastry: the cinnamon twist, or the apple fritter. Or claim to be a Donut Veteran -- they might give you both out of gratitude for your sacrifice.
The Rest: The Shearwater: Setting Sail for Beer
North Cove Yacht Harbor, at the World Financial Center
212.619.0907; ShearwaterSailing.com
Cruises: $45-$50 per person
This 82ft, impeccably preserved Gatsby-era schooner offers two-hour harbor cruises so swank, they make the Circle Line look like...The Circle Line. To sweeten the deal, the Shearwater's offering all-you-can-drink domestic beer thru June to anyone who drops "Thrillist" while making a reservation. The deal's good any day, for any afternoon, sunset, or moonlight ride -- take undue advantage and, like Gatsby, your bloated body will end up floating in the water.

One man who never gave it away was Silky, the New York pimp chronicled in this just re-released 1972 classic. Through photos and prose, Silky "explains his game": how he deals with peer rivalries, inspires devotion in his women, and manages to squeeze romance into his hectic schedule of trick management. The book's so in depth, it even includes a visit to Silky's tailor, a man ironically named Polyester Blend.
