Anyone who's suffered through three minutes of a midnight Money Train broadcast knows the perilous crappiness of latenight programming. Get quality entertainment (on a big screen to boot) with Insomniac Cinema.

Just expanded to LA proper, IC's an ongoing film series inspired by its cinephile founder's discontent watching favorite films alone, on his couch, naked. Each week, three different films are screened over three nights, each playing at one of three participating theaters (Mid-Wilshire, Westlake, and Ventura) -- allowing true insomniacs to enrich their weekends with cinema and rare traffic-free burns down the 101. The current schedule ranges from modern classics (Office Space; Pulp Fiction), to canonic (Casablanca), to movies best served with a side of headbands (The Warriors).

If you feel like something's missing from the lineup, the organizer encourages e-mail suggestions -- because while cable's happy to hop on the Money Train, it has consistently overlooked the majesty of Death Bed: the Bed that Eats. It's the film that's -- in more ways than one -- responsible for your poor sleep habits.
