Since you were old enough to watch game shows, you've had two dreams: 1) To guess the price of a dinette set down to the dollar, and 2) To sweep through a supermarket grabbing everything in sight. On December 8th, Dunkin' Donuts Packaged Coffee will help you with Number Two.
To celebrate their packaged coffee's release in grocery stores around America, Dunkin Donuts is hosting a take-no-prisoners shopping-cart derby at the Santa Monica Pier. To participate, simply register a two-person team, preferably named something coffee-related, like the Caffeine Cowboys, or...the Spoonfuls of Sugar. Then show up at the Pier for the competitive obstacle course: shelf-raiding, overloading carts with coffee, screaming at your partner's poor performance, and blaming your own missteps on a "wobbly back wheel". "Access Hollywood" correspondent, and former Dunkin' Donuts employee, Maria Menounos will crown the champions.
Each team that enters spurs a donation by P&G to America's Second Harvest (up to $20,000, so even if you lose badly, you still win.) For those with actual shopping cart-maneuvering talent and a true desire for victory: 1st Place nabs a two-year supply of DD packaged coffee, 2nd Place a year's supply, and 3rd Place a 6-month stash of the only java worth cupping* as you plea futilely with TV contestants over the retail price of... A NEW CAR!**
To enter, you must register your team by Dec 5 at Thrillist.com/dunkin
