The List

Hump This

Food/Drinks: Monk's Kettle
3141 16th St, at Albion; the Mission; 415.865.9523
Opening tonight, this beer hall serves up pulled pork, ahi tuna confit sandos, and giant pretzels w/ cheddar ale sauce, pairable with 124 handpicked bottles and draughts. The selection ranges from Bavarian Dopplebocks, to Scottish ales, to a section called “Grandpa’s Suds” -- meaning that from now on, you'll associate Pabst Blue Ribbon with sponge baths.

Thrillist - DarondoCulture: Darondo
8pm tonight at Rickshaw Stop
155 Fell St, at Van Ness
Civic Center; 415.861.2011

This Bay Area soul singer is a true Renaissance man (pimp, janitor, public access TV host, speech pathologist), and performs tonight in support of his critically acclaimed compilation, Let My People Go. The show marks a return from a 30-year hiatus, during which he was preoccupied with his other full-time job of being named Darondo.

Thrillist - Axle by AlexGear: Axle by Alex
Via incredibly intricate, colorful doodles, this Burlingame artist transforms ordinary Vans into wearable art -- which you'll quickly augment with your own haphazard pastiche of street gum and dog poop.
Order yours at AxlebyAlex.com

Thrillist - GenerationsDrinks: Arrival
Each bottle of this acclaimed ’05 Alexander Valley Cab blend is signed by all five members of Journey. The entire $100 price goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, who'll have put up or shut up when some sick kid begs them to ban you from karaok-ing to “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

Thrillist - Bollywood CafeFood: Bollyhood Cafe
3372 19th St, at Mission
The Mission; 415.970.0362

Brother-from-another- mother to the Baobob/Little Baobob African joints, this spot serves up a daily-changing menu of Euro/Indian cuisine like Chicken Kathi and Coconut Saburida. They'll also host events, live music, and Bollywood screenings -- confuse their titles with your dinner order, and expect a hot plate of chaste love and perverted dancing.
