Four Seasons-esque elegance meets shiny modernity at the InterContinental's new, grandfather chair'd lobby bar. In a bold move, grappa is the booze de la casa, served solo, or in daring cocktails like the Moscone (Grappa Da Ponte di Prosecco, Calvados, Crème de Cassis, Fresh Lemon, and Quince Paste). Sadly, the paint-peeling grappa-rita has been slighted, despite being the crown jewel of the What's-in-My-Fridge 'Tini cocktail family.

To raise money for their-own-damn-selves, all three area Roller Derby teams (SF's ShEvil Dead, the Oakland Outlaws, and the Richmond Wrecking Belles) will spend an evening tearing at each other's scant clothing in a mud wrestling ring. It's an epic collision of lecherous pseudo-sports, and the winner is...you?

Elegant, intimate, and all sorts of other qualities women appreciate as date-friendly, Tataki's slinging traditional sushiya fare (sashimi, specialty rolls, nigiri) plus not-fish beef carpaccio. Incidentally, Tataki also boasts a top-flight bathroom: dazzlingly mosaic'd, futuristically lit, and all sorts of other qualities horny men will use as excuses to lure dates into bathrooms.
