Blip

Having to credit friends with awesome discoveries is worse than remaining proudly ignorant. Get fresh tunes from random people you owe nothing, with Blip.

Thrillist - BlipThe latest feature of the Potrero-based indie music site Fuzz, Blip fuses mixtape-ish media sharing with a blog-like interface to create constantly updating playlists -- tracking musical taste the way Twitter tracks the doings of losers. Hit the "global" playlist, and listen to a running sequence of any tunes users took the time to dig, which could be anything from obscure Cheap Trick to obscurer Artanker Convoy; or winnow your selections down to tracks from your "favorites" (some Ukranian guy with his finger on the pulse of 90s gangsta rap). To post your own song, search for it on Blip's Fuzz/Skreemr/Seeqpod aggregate library, and briefly introduce it with your take ("When I meet Jethro Tull, I'm gonna get his autograph").

Blip's also got a downloadable plug-in that'll upload directly from your media player -- though the only thing worse than crediting friends, is having randoms worldwide credit you for giving them Hives.
