Bureau

Available at Odin, Bloomingdale's, and Oak

A man's gear is an outward extension of his inner lothario -- from the velvety suaveness of Hefner's smoking jackets, to the velvety penis of the flasher. To rock a more presidential rakishness, try Bureau.

Thrillist - BureauA maritimed up collection of warm-weather swag, Bureau's the handiwork of a former Greige designer (Cory Gomberg) who found inspiration in the "leisure pursuits of JFK", i.e., yachting, having nice hair, and poon. Skirt-chasing begins with Nantucket-esque outerwear: sports jackets triple-stitched in ribbed poplin, and a half-waist Regatta Parka made from cotton sailcloth w/ resin "sail finishing" -- making it resistant to UV light and water, but offering little protection from bolt-action riflery (too soon?). As for shirts, Bureau has you in lightly-hued seersucker gingham check shirts, henleys, and button-ups made from broadcloth, a premium cotton first developed in medieval England (whose only other "premium" offering was plague).

For legwear, Bureau trots out knee-length and half-knee-length khaki shorts, plus twill chino trousers comfortably rollable to the half-calf -- though given how tough it is to score women in clam-diggers, by rolling up, you're really only shucking yourself.
