Just 'cause you value your friends' opinions on things like movies, music, and "Internet" doesn't mean you want to listen to your friends blabbing about things like movies, music, and "Internet". Get their take the pain-free way, at Culture Clique.
Started by two Angelenos wary of dubious posts from the likes of "PhishFan420" and "Roger Ebert", Clique's a user-generated review site that lets you winnow things down to the people you trust most (hopefully, your friends). Just create a simple profile, then invite whoever into your "clique"; when you log in, just click on the tab for your clique's reviews to bypass the ravings of the idiot masses (other peoples' friends). Reviews are organized by category and sub-category; in addition to the aforementioned music/movies/"internet", you can weigh in on everything from celebrities (includes "Politicians" and "Reality TV"), to electronics, to a zillion different sports -- act now, and be the first to point out that pilates is not a sport.
If you have no friends, you can always browse reviews for members who share your tastes -- and in the end, what's the difference between a friend and someone who thinks you're right?
