Meehan's Public House

Opening today for lunch in a former 1920s theater next to the downtown Macy's, Meehan's is bringing the Irish in a space with "weeping" mortar brick walls and snugs featuring framed sections of cast iron fences, stained glass/mirror art, and a parquet wood-paneled bar. Feed on snacks like chipotle-sauced Guinness fish tacos w/ lime-cilantro sour cream, Brioche-bunned Angus or bison burgers, sammies (roast pork, corned beef), and entrees like the available-anytime Irish breakfast, in which you get baked beans, B&W pudding, and soda bread plus bangers and rashers, two things you learned the difference between a little too late into Spring Break.
