Dusk A Casears dance club dedicated to DJ AM

Rather than cling to youthful glory, the smartest artists move into positions of management and ownership -- Faith No More's Mike Patton founded Ipecac Records ("Making People Sick Since 1999"), and Jenna Jameson now runs ClubJenna (taking rhymes-with-"sick", since 2000). Taking a club by the business end, DJ AM, with Dusk.

After years as a touring DJ, Philly's Adam Goldstein has teamed up with the Red Stripe Plane group to create a mammoth nightclub in the heart of Caesars AC, complete with dueling main bars, dual DJ booths, and a multimedia sensory overload so complete, the casino outside will seem like your dentist's waiting room by comparison. Comprised of concentric, descending ovals, the main room's awash in deep hues of blue, purple, and gold, with the comparably plebeian outer ring encircling a step-down bottle service area boasting plush banquettes and stripper-poled mini dancing platforms, plus a second step-down VIP lounge that borders the central dance floor; lording over all's a multi-layered undulating mesh ceiling that displays projections of performances and crowd shots, and hosts 1,000+ spinning LED lights that cast over a million colors moving to the beat pumped out by the 100,000 watt system -- which seems like overkill, since all you really want is to hear what she's majoring in. Downstairs is a separate 1,700 sq ft lounge called Dawn, where chandeliers dangle from 20' ceilings, and an elevated DJ booth overlooks a full bar, dance floor, and pixelated renditions of Renaissance paintings hung on walls lined with black Cuban leather; there's also an exit to an outdoor enclosed boardwalk area, perfect for Havana quick smoke.

Soft opening tonight, Dusk's grand opening this weekend features a July 4 performance by DJ AM himself, topping off a holiday throwdown that promises to be truly Epic.
