Just opened in the former Peacock by a group of Barfly's regulars and unintentionally sharing a name with a notorious Vegas dive, Down's a no-BS neighborhood spot tapping kegs of local faves (Live Oak Big Bark, Fireman's 4) in an overhauled space rife with casino undertones like a bar with an old-school red-foam bumper and cards/dice inlaid in the counter, plus bonus touches like a 100-CD jukebox and an original Ms. Pacman machine, Vegas-like in that it's an all-you-can-eat buffet that in the end'll probably kill you.
