New Back Bay workout studio Life in Synergy counters the New Age fluff of its name with $15 a la carte classes teaching Arnis, a Filipino martial arts form incorporating elements of Judo, Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu, and the rattan death-stick for crushing moves like "Defanging the Snake" -- made famous by Matt Damon in the Bourne films, and not-so-famous by Tommy Lee Jones in The Hunted.
