At the Brewer's Olympics, the opening ceremonies are held whenever someone pops a new can! At the Brewer's Olympics, the only hurdles are making up an excuse for why you'll be home late! At the Brewer's Olympics... well, you get the idea, and now, you and a friend can be the one civilian team to compete.

The centerpiece of a music-laden Uptown Block Party hosted by Vine St Pub, the games will see two-man teams of beer geniuses from 12 of CO's best breweries (Upslope, Great Divide, Oskar Blues, etc) compete in everything from a tricycle race, to a World's Strongest Man-esque challenge to hold out a pitcher of beer for as long as possible, to stacking bags of grain while blindfolded. In terms of attendance, this thing is worth hitting even as a spectator, as all of the breweries competing will be serving their beers to the sidelines (including Mountain Sun specialties like a smooth-sipping Belgian called Capital Saison, and the session-style pale ale Paradise City, which really should be paired with an Axl Rosé).

Here's the really cool part though: the music will be provided by the bass player from String Cheese Incident! they're allowing one non-brewer team to participate, and that team will consist of a Thrillist reader (you?!) +1. To win, prove your might by emailing us a photo of your most creative and impressive feat of strength via the link below. Good luck to you.
