For a deck of cards that'll make you richer without tracking down an Iraqi war criminal, there's Drink Deck. Just launched in London by a Chicago boozehound, each of the 52 playables reps one of the Capital's esteemed drink dens, carrying with it a discount ranging from the price of a cocktail (around £7) to a full 30% off your bill, allowing the 20-quid deck to "pay for itself in one trip" and ensure you're always feeling flush. A few of the spots where you can score a round of gin rummy:
Zenna Bar: With no offense to Craig Beattie, this Indian boozer (and vendor of the UK's hottest cocktail) takes the Ace of Hearts.
The Hemingway: The 10 of Diamonds will net you a free drink to have and, all too rapidly, have not, at this "memberless members bar".
Shaker & Co: This cocktail bar run by people who teach bartenders is unlocked by the Ace of Spades, so definitely secure your second round by demanding "Lemmy have another".
The London Cocktail Club: By some convoluted bit of logic, the Queen of Clubs gets... the Queen of Clubs.
In case you don't want people to assume you're an amateur magician and therefore hate you, you'll be able to ditch the cards when they release a multi-platform app with a map of all the drinkeries, and free updates every-time they reprint the cards, so you'll never have to take a Ba'ath.
