From two epically facial-haired drink-mixing dudes (and an ops manager!) responsible for the cocktail programs at 15 Romolo, Wayfare Tavern & Quince, Rio Grande's a just-grand-opened Market St tipplery that's sort of a Texas border town meets Dusk Till Dawn operation, meaning semi-naked, snake-dancing Salma Hayeks!! cow hides, 60yr-old Mexican newspapers, and Virgin Mary shrines!! And like any good bar run by two epically facial-haired dudes (and an ops manager!) responsible for the cocktail programs at 15 Romolo, Wayfare Tavern & Quince, Rio doesn't have a drink menu... wait, what? Luckily for you though, it does have a super badass secret drink menu with just three offerings, including:Mississippi Rio Grande river, this drink was invented in the CoCo 500 kitchen when Justin Simoneaux (now the chef at Boxing Room) and one of the aforementioned epically facial-haired dudes set out to create a cocktail combining their respective favorite boozes (whiskey & tequila). This drink does, along with lemon, lime, and a pepper-and-salt rim.
