At The Buzzer

Consignment shops theoretically promise a bounty of rare and obscure curiosities, but then again, what the hell are you going to do with a set of decorative spoons? Consigning stuff you actually care about: At The Buzzer.

Created by a UMass Boston grad duly obsessed with kicks and b-ball, ATB is the Hub's first fully boutique'd sneaker consignment shop, featuring Garden-style parquet floors, C's banners, and the widest selection of resold footwear this side of Ricky Davis's van. Wedged into glass cases in the back are ATB's uber-rarest, like Boston-exclusive Lobster Dunks, the black and green Jordan Spiz'ikes, and Houston Astros Air Force 1's in retro-orange, sadly never released -- had they been, Nolan Ryan would be shattering backboards to this day. The store's side walls are stacked with slightly more accessible models, including several varieties of SB Dunks, Blazers, Air Max 95's, and Reebok Kool Aids in enough colors to pacify Jim Jones' entire Guyana village.

Beyond consignment, ATB's also got an account with New Era to hawk their hat collection -- all fresh-out-of-the-box, so you won't come down with a bounty of rare and obscure head lice.
