New Eats: Rowes Wharf Sea Grille Opens

Rowes Wharf Sea Grille Opens

Classing out the old Intrigue Cafe via white tablecloths and "nautical touches", RWSG's rolling out a seafood-heavy menu featuring flash-fried, panko-laced haddock w/ ginger yuzu slaw, grilled Block Island swordfish in a caramelized fennel/saffron linguisa broth, and grilled diver sea scallops w/ sea beans and cockles, also where you'll later point to on the doll, in reference to where you received your own nautical touches.

Chillmark Tavern

Opening this week from the chef/owner of Chez Henri, CT's a "laid back, NE-style" Up Island tavern featuring a bar menu with burgers and Cubans, and more elaborate dinner entrees like New Bedford-style baked clams w/ sweetbreads and chorizo, grapefruit BBQ-glazed tuna steak, ale-braised vealwurst w/ green tomatoes, and Allen Farm spring lamb two ways, only one of which it'll realistically do sober.

Hep Gear: King Stampede Tees

King Stampede Tees

Freshly unveiled, LAB's got three tees from the KS summer collection including the navy/aqua "Cult", on which the C is a snake, a looking-in-the-mirror-esque logo "Stampede", and a turquoise number w/ a jungle-patterned "Weed Eater" on the chest, reminiscent of the hilarious inside joke shared by your hippie uncle and his lawnmower.

They've also got art toys, and other cool things you pretend to know exist. Scope them all online at Lab-Boston.com

Harvest Ice Flights

Harvest just introduced flights of three house-made potables served in ice shotglasses: eclectic liqueurs like goji berry, pineapple bacon, strawberry-infused tequila, cilantro gin, and blueberry brandy, which is also how she felt when Moesha got put on ice.
