Local streetwear co. keeps it clean

Living healthy sounds like a noble endeavor guaranteed to improve your life, which is exactly why its important to dip your pizza in lite Ranch. Keeping at least your style healthy, Society Original Products.

From two southsiders (one Mattapan, one Dorchester) "aiming to promote a healthy and righteous way of living", SOP is a home-grown streetwear line that rocks a tight repertoire of jackets, hoodies, hats, and graphic tees all designed with crisp lines and clean images, making this the one site you visit all day where you don't have to clear your browser cache. Teewise, there's the The Big Boss, a black tee that recalls a classic scene from Game of Death by depicting Bruce Lee swiftly kicking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the face; the green Good Nerd, sporting the slogan "f'ing GOOD N.E.R.D" in yellow above pics of N.E.R.D; and a gray crewneck that offers Pacific Rim props with the words "Asian is the New Cool" printed across the front -- much better than last year's "French People are Still Gross". For cold weather stylin', there're sweet jackets like The Housing Track 2, a cream-colored cotton/nylon zip-up w/ two horizontal chest pockets; a more dressy wool number w/ drawstring hood, buttoned shoulder epaulets, and dual inside zip pockets called The Everybody Knows Jacket; and w/ ribbed cuffs and the words "PLAY" on one side and "WORK" on the other, the black/red nylon Self Employed Reversible, which given your ability to get down to business, has never been more the case.

To round out the collection, SOP's also got a black zip-up hoodie w/ kangaroo pockets called The Playground Bully, baseball caps like The Peoples Choice (green with backward Society logo), and a three-paneled brown/tan/cream polyester vest called the Outline -- unlike a chalk one, which is what would be around you if you used that regular Ranch.
