Zhivago's Cafe (now closed)

A warm, red-walled spot occupying part of the old Dilettante Cafe, Zhivago's menu board depicts elegantly chalk-art'd Roaring 20s dames next to traditional house-made delicacies like baklava, piroshky (from corned beef, mushroom & cheese, to smoked salmon & cream cheese), and borscht; the mix is inspired by the Russian/Middle Eastern heritage of the owner/chef, who, due to his other job as a limo company proprietor is no stranger to Sharifs.
