Opening Mon, Maru's dishing a range of takoyaki in a casual Wash West storefront, where they're offering the bite-size, sweet sauce-topped fried crepe balls (traditionally stuffed w/ octopus) in an array of unconventional fillings/toppings, including the Philly Cheesesteak (shaved sirloin w/ caramelized onion & cheddar bechamel) and the Spicy Shrimp, w/ spicy mayo, aonori dried seaweed, and bonito flakes, which usually just say they're going to show up, mostly because they're crummy time managers.
