The most special concert memories come from those performed in intimate surrounds, not massive arenas sporting $8 beers and an army of black t-shirted goons impatiently waiting to re-raise Stan Mikita's retired sweater back to the rafters. For only $20 apiece, DDL hawks dozens of original, ltd0edition, hand-screened 18x24 prints featuring up-and-coming bands' small-venue gigs, around 70% in 'Cago, 29.9% across the rest of America, and .1% in France. Local action's highlighted by Metro's NYE '05 triple bill (Rogue Wave, The New Pornographers, The M's), featuring nine mustache-friends from Selleck to Dali; Schubas' February Yeasayer/MGMT show rocking two intertwined thumb-worms shaking hands at the tips of their respective tongues; and Tokyo Police Club's May Metro show: a looming elephant with one eye peeking out of what looks like one of those things women use to keep hair out of their eyes (if you know what it's called, why aren't you fixing our economy, smart guy?). Away shows include the Acid Mothers Temple gig at San Fran's Bottom Of The Hill; Lily Allen peering over her own block-lettered, polka dotted name for an Irving Plaza (NYC) performance; and a South Beach Bill Maher in red horns and devil-face (then again, you can always relive the Maher experience by throwing a spoon into the garbage disposal).

Because the need to create isn't dependent on tour schedules, DDL also hawks "art prints", from "Night Of The Dead" (barren, skull-shaped tree w/ moon for an eye) to pop art renderings of an astronaut jamming out in space, dubbed "Final Countdown" -- which could reference Europe, but if you saw those guys at a small show, your Final Countdown's to Alzheimer's.
