F-Troupe
When Mother Nature upchucks her wintry worst, unless your appetizers really are magnificent, and your TV really is the size of a General Zod-imprisoning sheet of glass, you can't count on your place being the social warming hut. Trudge to the actual fun-hubs, with shoes from F-Troupe.
Founded by a sludge-trekking Londonite, Troupe just dropped winter-attacking shoes outfitted with materials guaranteed to keep your kickers warm and dry, all thoughtfully bestowed with monikers that sound like rejected Star Wars droids. Standout blizzard-beaters include the JT130, a beefed-up Chuck Taylor-type high-top sneak w/ suede construction and uber-warming sheep's-wool interior, and the Timberland-esque TC03 hiking boot, whose exterior, inner lining, and even sole're entirely crafted from leather (aka, the shoe Chris Berman's dying to pull off a barstool and have sex with). When slightly less-hardcore protection'll do, the K31 leather hunting boot snugly wraps your upper ankle in sheepskin via an adjustable metal buckle as its rubber outsole displays embossed trees and mountains; there's also the mid-top TC02, a moccasin/boat-shoe combo (so, a dugout-canoe-shoe).
Because they enjoy staying in business when it's not winter, Troupe's also dishing a more balmy offering: the brown- or green-plaid K92, a leather-accented wool low-top -- for those pleasant summer afternoons when Ma Nature's simply warmly flatulent.
