While that "How's My Driving?" number no one's ever actually called at least offers a means to rail against the asphalt sins of truckers, there's still no effective way to punish other drivers who are clearly on drugs, and not even the sensible, get-more-work-done kind. Or is there? Introducing the latest in road rage, Drive Me Crazy.
Just launched by Shazam's developer, this free iPhone app provides safe, responsible citizens like yourself quick, effective, and potentially hilarious methods of reporting the vehicular crimes of the various jerk-offs, a-holes, and sons of bitches you seem to encounter on a daily basis. Using it's simple: upon witnessing a dangerous or offensive act, hit the app's "bad driver" button and speak the license-plate number, after which your report gets sent to both the flagged driver and the DMV; going further, you can also write up a virtual ticket with details of the incident, though the app's creators suggest doing this later, after you've safely pulled over and had a chance to embellish the details. More features let you search any license plate to check its DMC record, track bad-driving hot zones (so's to avoid them/visit them in order to exercise this incredibly addictive power), or leave an audio rant, the funniest of which will be made streamable by other users -- finally, a way for Arsenio Hall to break back into comedy!
For those more pervy than vigilant, DMC's also got a tool which allows you to flag cute car owners, rate them, check out a hottest list, and, if they also use DMC, even send them personal messages -- a capability that doubles as the ultimate punishment, as what's worse than being asked out by a guy who spends all his time complaining about other drivers on his iPhone?
