Launched by an ex-Ralph Lauren rep/Stanley Korshak buyer and his NYC-native wife -- and already boasting clientele from power-suited CEOs to power-handed lobbyists -- Hadleigh's is a true-custom atelier based in the couple's Kessler Park home, where discreet fittings are conducted with no patron overlap. Hadleigh's own line, designed & cut by the owner and stitched by master tailors in Italy, is anchored by two models: the traditional but crisp Hopper (after Edward) and the sleeker, Euro-inflected Harris (after Bill, the wife's father, an ex-NYT journo); each sports three slanted exterior pockets, higher top buttons & arm holes, and an inch-wider lapel, causing your shoulders to look more Dwight Howard's than Dwight Yoakam's. Extravagant outliers include summer formal-wear such as a dark-blue moleskin tux w/ ribbed black grosgrain lapels, and a Lone Star Park-friendly, mid-century-ish seersucker classed up with navy piping -- because when you enter Grand Prairie AirHogs territory, average seersucker just won't do.
Meanwhile, dress shirts offer endless details (frocked armholes/carved French cuffs/contrast-color stitching) and fabrics (fine white cotton poplin to woozy linen plaids). Hadleigh's also deals in other ultra-luxe designers, including BRM watches, Barker Black shoes, and Cesare Attolini suits, worn by Sean Connery, Al Pacino, and Vladimir Putin -- unashamed to get fitted wherever he pleases, as he's never known what it means to giggle.
