This is Starbucks' brand-new holiday drink

UPDATE: Starbucks is actually rolling this out two days earlier than we first reported. It's coming November 12th!

As the nation has lulled itself into a false, Pumpkin Spice Latte-induced sense of security, Starbucks has secretly been planning a new holiday drink that no one saw coming. Well, except for maybe Omaha. After a limited-run test there and in a few other cities, Sbux is getting ready for the national launch of its latest creation, the Chestnut Praline Latte.

Though it seems like Starbucks is inventing new stuff every other day, this marks the first new "holiday handcrafted beverage" in five years. It's set to roll out on November 14th, two weeks after this year's batch of red holiday cups hits stores. While we're not sure how it'll stack up to oldies like the Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Latte, insiders describe it as "Teddy Grahams in a cup", which is all we've ever wanted in our morning coffee. Stay tuned for dispatches when this yuletide sensation debuts next month.
