American and Mexican breakfasting in Deep Ellum

Pepe's Ranch, Deep Ellum, Dallas TX

Pepe's Ranch: it's both what Yosemite Sam dips his French fries in (!) and also the name of this new half-Mexican, half-American grub hub from the husband and wife duo behind Tex-Mex standby Pepe's and Mito's.Parts of the space were imagined by interior designers who've been going to Pepe's and Mito's for years/ really like lamps.Breakfast includes USofA staples like chicken fried steak & eggs, and this chicken & waffles with raspberry chipotle glaze...... plus USofMexico morning eats like huevos rancheros with queso fresco, and a host of breakfasty tacos: chorizo & egg, rajas (sauteed cheese, onions & poblano peppers), and one loaded with cheese, chicken & egg.Lunch counts apps like these ranch-style quesadillas that're stuffed with sausage (!), caramelized onions, mozz, and ranch pico.Plus, there are more serious eats like fried pork chops, pecan-smoked pot roast, blackened chicken tortas, and these juicy brisket enchiladas, which you'll say, you'll say, you'll say are some of the best darn 'ladas you've ever had.
