Trinity Groves' newest resto is... closing soon?
Now open in Trinity Groves with the stated intent of starting anew every time Mack Brown fires a defensive coordinator (every four months!), Kitchen LTO -- that's Limited Time Offer -- is essentially a chef incubator wherein they'll bring in a new toque three times a year to redo the entire restaurant concept.
In addition to bringing in new chefs, they'll also enlist a new designer thrice annually -- Coeval Studio, the same team that did Belly & Trumpet, Outpost, and Mutts, won the interior design contest for this initial incarnation by building a casual brasserie around a giant wooden sculpture that looks sorta like a… giant wooden sculpture.
The first chef in the kitchen boasts stops at The Mercury, NOSH, and Acme F&B on his resume, and'll introduce a "Modern American" menu with numbers like this braised short rib.
Plus plenty of seafood like those seared diver scallops you saw earlier, or this branzino drizzled in a bacon malt reduction. A bacon. Malt. Reduction.
Regardless of who's in the kitchen or the place-where-restaurant-designers-design-stuff, all of the iterations will feature this 20ft wooden temple of booze, which'll pour just about any cocktail you want, plus crafts like Saint Arnold Elissa IPA and Goose Island 312.
