Not just what you call it when you watch Footloose, and then Wild Things, and then Hollow Man, and then Tremors, and then The Air Up There, Baconfest is also LA's new pork and beer bacchanalia: a $40 all-you-can-eat-and-drink deal at the Petersen Automotive Museum from the same super-human behind LA Beerfest and The Great Gatsby Party. Here's what you can expect:

Food: Taking a cue from the bad kids in Lord of the Flies, literally dozens of LA's best restos are straight murdering piggy... dishes, from these crispy pork belly buns courtesy of The Charleston to bacon macaroons from Sweet Insanity.

Drink: All-you-can-consume pours come from 20 breweries, including Bootleggers, Lagunitas, Evan's, and Deschutes, or what your German friend has repeatedly called the key to winning Chutes and Ladders.

VIP: For an extra $20, you get an hour more of eating & beering, plus access to the only cocktails in the joint, with all-inclusive drinks from high-end boozeries like Fireball Whiskey & New Amsterdam Vodka, which should adequately quench the thirst of at least A Few Good Men.
