No longer just the stock answer when people ask what you're up to on a Wed night, Chi Lin is a massive, glittery Chinese bistro right on the Sunset Strip whose main dining room walls are decorated with thousands of stuffed butterflies (seriously!)...... and a front room/bar that looks like it is straight out of Big Trouble in Little China. The whole thing's from the people behind BOA, which means they're paying attention to the food, too: they've got non-site-promoting serious eats like prawn, crab, and asparagus toast, as well as a gingery chrysanthemum chicken. You'll also want to get noodle-and-meat-y with this ground-pork-topped Jia-Jiang Mian, or the Peking duck. And finally, drink-wise, they've got cocktails that include a serrano chili & plum hot and sour martini and this egg white/Chartreuse/bitters number, "The Pearl Of The Orient", which kind of sounds like what Kurt Russell was looking for in that movie in the first place.
