There's a Church of Bacon, and It's Claiming Religious Discrimination

Feeling lost? Searching for a higher purpose in life? There's a new path to enlightenment, and it doesn't involve any billion-year contracts.

The United Church of Bacon is a megachurch based in Las Vegas that praises pork. (And counts Penn Jillette as a Sunday school teacher.) They've been around since 2010, but just recently hit the news cycle because they're claiming religious discrimination. According to church officials, Wells Fargo is refusing to sign off on their documents because they're intolerant of bacon worship, and atheists in general. The bank naturally disagrees -- they say they just don't want to further church founder John Whiteside's agenda. (Admittedly, he does have one.) While this fight rages on, decide where you stand by reading up on the 9 Bacon Commandments.
