Little Caesars is rolling out pretzel pizza

While Pizza Hut was dropping flashy cookie pizzas and Mellow Mushroom was piling on the mole, Little Caesars was quietly working on an even crazier creation. Beginning September 1st, the chain will offer a pepperoni pie with a crust made of salty pretzel dough, because even a Roman emperor can appreciate the public's need for pretzel pizza.

We don't know if you know this, but the pie is kind of a big deal. Not only does it take the important work started by Wendy's and 7-Eleven to its natural conclusion, but it's the first Little Caesars limited-edition pizza in a decade. The company has usually been content sitting back and letting the competition go crazy with specialty items, but with this new offering, the pizza player is looking to reenter the game. Their new baby will be available from September through October 26th for $6, and you can even grab it as a Hot-N-Ready order (no calling ahead required) from 4pm to 8pm. Someone better start keeping an eye on that jealous hitman Brutus now, 'cause we don't want anything coming between us and Little Caesars' pretzel pie.
