These states are the craziest about pumpkins

By now, hopefully we're all aware of the Great Pumpkin Boom of 2014 -- pumpkin is in our beers, our Oreos, and even our homes and businesses (if you chose to decorate that way)! So who exactly is fueling this gourd worship? Well, according to data compiled by Twitter, it's Vermont. And most of New England, really. You can see the full interactive map here.

Based on info compiled over the last year, they analyzed which states tweeted the most frequently about pumpkins, and concluded that Vermont was the top offender when it came to social media patch-patronizing. The top and bottom five states are below:

1. Vermont
2. New Hampshire
3. Maine
4. Idaho
5. Oregon
...
46. North Dakota
47. Texas
48. Georgia
49. Mississippi
50. Louisiana

Now we'll know who to blame when pumpkins rule the Earth.
