Tinga

This tiny, brightly colored taqueria (with a spiderweb-esque dangling-light fixture) slings hand-pressed tacos stuffed w/ craziness like bitter orange, 72 hour pork, habanero salsa, and pickled onion, or grilled flat iron steak, chipotle escabeche, avocado, and lime, plus specials like a chicken quesadilla w/ roasted red peppers, cilantro, lime, and chipotle, all from a couple inspired by a Santa Barbara spot that's known to be a favorite of Julia Child, although Meryl Streep is totally nice and likes everything, so that's not really that big a surprise.
