Thursday, October 23rd: The NBA season is approaching, and for the first time ever, there will be a Mavs Run This Town 5k happening. Friday, October 24th: Everybody knows Bob Marley, but his son Ziggy just released his newest album, Fly Rasta, and will be playing tunes from that, along with other favorites. Tap into your inner Rastafarian and get there.
Saturday, October 25th: All day Saturday, great music will be floating through the airwaves at the North Oak Cliff Music Festival, headlined by two local favorites, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians and Seryn. Food trucks will be available, along with adult beverages, and plenty more damn fine music.
Sunday, October 26th: Just in time for the Halloween season, Strauss Square is doing a free outdoor screening of an all-timer: The Shining. They allow you to bring in coolers and picnic baskets, so grab your finest bottle of redrum, because all work and no play... you get the idea.
