5 things you'd better do in Denver this weekend

Denver Event of the Week
Get to the Big Wonderful at Sustainability Park on Saturday, and stuff your face at the last Rotary Fall Food Truck Fest. A gathering of local food trucks like La Chiva, Satay by Jorge, and The Orange Crunch will be present along with plenty of brews from Diebolt Brewery, Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery, and Lowdown Brewery to wash it all down.

The Widow's Bane

Thursday, October 23rd: Get to the Fox Theatre in Boulder and treat your ears to some "zombie folk-punk rock", as the band The Widow’s Bane dresses in full zombie garb and prepares to rock your face off. Get tickets now! Continue Reading

DJ QBert

Friday, October 24th: If you think being a DJ nowadays only involves pressing "play"... well, you’d be mostly right... but at one point it was an art form. An art form perfected by turntablist DJ QBert, who will be spinning a musical yarn at The 1up – Colfax this Friday.

Saturday, October 25th: A face full of hair is worn by some people like a badge of hairy honor, and the folks of the Boulder Facial Hair Club want to celebrate that fact at their Second Annual Boulder Beard and Moustache Competition on Saturday. There are eight events, including "Natural Moustache", "Partial Beard Freestyle", and a "Female Artistic Beard" (seriously!) event that has no possibility of disappointment.

3Peat

Sunday, October 26th: You’ll want to be at the Bovine Metropolis Theater this Sunday, as it's the last day of the Denver Improv Fest. Featuring improv crews like 3Peat, Jet & Holly, and The Women of Reckoning, you can expect to have a good time, though maybe not in the EXACT way you expected, ‘cause you know, improv.
