Have you ever looked back at old 8-bit games and thought "man, I could make something so much better"? No, of course you haven't, Double Dragon is perfect. But try anyway, with the dude behind Crystal Catacombs.

In a bid to raise the money needed to finish off his totally old-school, Super Metroid and Castlevania-inspired masterpiece, the Denverite designer's created a Kickstarter reward in which'll he work with you to conceptualize nearly everything about his game, starting with a boss's name, look, and "attack patterns", also what Joan Rivers does on Fashion Police if someone wears argyle.

Though the side-scroller is decidedly dungeon-themed (there's already a fire-based level with lava, and a jungle dungeon with traps), for an even larger donation, he'll let you help design the entire "Crystal Realm" (including hazards, lesser enemies, and bosses); or, you can be virtually immortalized in the game's "Temple of the Gods" by having an epic statue made in your likeness to be "worshipped by the people of Celestica for all of eternity!", or at least until Gears 4 comes out.

As for what's in there already, the bosses range from slimy and dinosaur-like, to just plain old Frankenstein, were dreamt up with "video games and classic horror movies" in mind, and can be fought via your hero's sword-play and spell-casting, but not Dreamcasting, which is something you correctly looked at and thought "man, I could make something so much better."
