The Stars and Stripes Festival will be in full swing this weekend at Freedom Hill, and if you’re at all hesitant about attending, here’re three reasons why you should go: 1) The Banana Derby. This involves capuchin monkeys "riding dogs like jockeys while the dogs race". 2) Three music stages where you can see Josh Gracin, Bret Michaels, Fuel, Alien Ant Farm, and many more. 3) Fireworks. Thursday, June 26th: The Bird and the Bread in Birmingham is teaming up with New Holland Brewery to bring you Hatter Days -- a celebration of New Holland’s Hatter beers (i.e. Mad Hatter, Black Hatter, White Hatter, etc.).
