Detroit Event of the Week
As the weather finally warms up… or at least pretends to, it brings with it the promise of beer festivals. There’s a whole slew of them coming up around the state, and this Friday, Royal Oak Farmers Market is hosting its 2nd Annual Craft Beer Expo. Featured breweries include Dragonmead, Griffin Claw, Kuhnhenn, and dozens more. Food trucks will also be in attendance to provide solid sustenance.

B. Nektar Meadery

Saturday, May 10th: B. Nektar’s kicking off the Spring season with their 2nd Annual Spring Mead Fest. They’ll have plenty of the sweet stuff to go around, including a limited release of a cherry chocolate chipotle mead aged in barrels of New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk named #dragonsarereal. Tour de Troit

Saturday, May 10th: If you haven’t taken the bike out yet, now’s the time. The Detroit Eastside Community Collaborative and Tour de Troit are hosting their 3rd Annual Cycle Into Spring event -- a 20-mile ride from the river to 8 Mile. Slows To Go will be the "optional" post-ride lunch.

Saturday, May 10th: The always-popular Motor City Brew Tours are hosting a walking tour of some fine Royal Oak establishments, including Royal Oak Brewery, Bastone Brewery, and Lockhart’s BBQ. Get tickets here
