It used to be that the best stuff in the world was made in Fall River, and no, Chris Herren, that's not a cocaine reference. Aiming to make quality non-drug related stuff in the Riva once again, Whatever Bro.
From a two-dude amateur film company outta the same Scholarship City high school as Chris H. (Durfee, son!), WB's an online repository of edgy, in-your-face, sometimes hilariously poorly made satirical "comedy" sketches, spoofs, PSAs, and rap videos that don't shy away from controversial topics; all of which are written, produced, and shot on location in a town whose motto is "We'll Try", which beats Westport's motto of "Please don't tell anyone we're in between Fall River and New Bedford". Recent highlights include:
Is This Racist???:
This just dropped sardonic ode to the NBA's "greatest" white players raps poetic with lines like "Mark Price dropping bombs saying man you can't see me/ain't nobody got skills like Brian Scalabrine" -- oh wait, it's just been reported he was actually watching Michael Rappaport in the All-Star celebrity game.
Wolfdog vs. Wallaroo:
This Randall-esque Honey Badger voiceover spoof showcases a BBC-televised epic battle between said wolfdog and 'roo, with the dog featuring a Boston accent, and the wally as some sort of confused stoner who just wants to sit down, aka Manny Ramirez's last year in the outfield.
I'm A Loser:
This self-deprecating white rap chock full of suspect dance moves showcases the rappers in front of Fall River's most dilapidated and graffiti-covered places, and actually features an attractive girl and the line "How's it my fault that your parents is dead", also what Jack the Ripper presumably said at trial before following it up with "Oh right. Because I killed them. Got it."
And if that's not enough, you can also check out their parody of MTV's Cribs set in Fall River, a series of fake newscasts, and the four-dudes-rapping-on-the-railroad-tracks video entitled "Lower Your Standards", which, at this point, could only happen if Chris Herren moved to Tiverton.
