Free beer fest tickets, a Masterchef dinner, and... rabbit show-jumping?!

Freebie of the Week
Sambrooks Brewery is celebrating their sixth birthday by giving you presents. Yep, this Saturday, they’ll be hosting their annual Beer by the River brew fest w/ one-off brews from By The Horns Brewing, Hop Stuff, Westerham Brewery, and more, plus live music & street food -- and if you Tweet @MordenHallPkNT using #beerbytheriver, you could be the winner of one of five sets of free tickets. Drink in the website here

Thursday, August 28th: Masterchef winner Steven Wallis is putting on a pair of pop-up dinners starting tonight in... a vintage clothing store? Yes, Possessed N1 at Chapel Market will play host to duck with fig, bouillabaisse, and summer pudding with white chocolate. Feel like splashing out? They’ve got wine pairing options, too. Drop a line here for a seat
Thursday, August 28th: Pop-up regular Tacu Tacu is back at Casa Blue on Brick Lane tonight and is bringing you Latin-style twists like duck & cheese tacos, Mexican Baja Shrimp Burgers, and Mojito Cheesecake. Check out some of his other mix-ups right here
Saturday, August 30th: Hit the Old Baths in Hackney for The Wick, which describes itself as “A weekly Saturday terrace party come gourmet market place come music, arts and entertainment hub.“ Which apparently means you can expect a tiki bar, street food, gallery space, hot tubs, a beach, and some DJs. Head to their FB for all the latest
Saturday, August 30th: The folks behind Oatly (it’s a Swedish oat-based milk substitute) are hosting a “Break-Fest” today in Brockwell Park, and it’s going to involve free pancakes, muffins, a hangover tent, Viking chess, and (get this) rabbit show-jumping. Yes, you read that right. Go here immediately to apply for free tickets.
Booking ahead: The caffeine junkies over at Caravan Exmouth Market are facing autumn full-on with their quarterly session of “Grass Roots”, showing off produce sourced from the Kings Cross Skip Garden (a garden charity youth project). There’ll be sharing dishes like grilled lamb leg with honey, rosemary cream, and berries, and the bar team will be putting out herbal cocktails to wash it all down.
