London Freebie of the Week
If you’re only just remembering that it’s V-Day tomorrow, then you’re either single, or you’re about to be -- unless that is, you head down to Kingly Court, where the infamous Miss Cakehead has teamed up with Kraken Rum for an awesomely Gothic Valentine's by selling only black roses and rum. Plus, if you shoot an email to Miss Cakehead to plead your case, you might just get a completely free black bouquet and (even more importantly) a bottle of cane-hooch. Thursday, February 13th: Vauxhall Village is back with a pop-up cinema -- the aptly themed Tunnel of Love -- for a weekend full of modern romances like Annie Hall, Lost in Translation, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Plus, there’s a bar, bites, and all kinds of romantic stuff, too. Get on the ride here

Friday, February 14th: The Lemonade & Laughing Gas folks are back, this time taking on V-Day with their Love Bite Games Night. It promises to be a slightly surreal mix of “team games, exciting theatrics, a down and dirty 3 course meal” -- plus bespoke cocktails, and dancing. It’s all going down at The Red Kantine, get more info right here.

Saturday, February 15th: Today sees an event from the disturbingly named School Supper Society -- all set in the Victorian Central Foundation Boys’ School in Shoreditch. There’ll be a three-course banquet, comedians, live music, and an MC-ing “headmistress” played by none other than Game of Thrones’ Gemma Whelan. Enroll here

Saturday, February 15th: Hit up the Underdog Gallery in London Bridge tonight for Shotgun Weddings -- it’s basically a huge party, where they’ll marry a random pair of strangers every hour, on the hour. There’s everything from cake, to veils, to fake bridesmaids/drunken relatives, to presents. The only detail they haven’t included is any legally binding certificate. Get hitched to the website
