10 things the PDX should be thankful for
It's Thanksgiving, and while we don’t have as much to be thankful for as those enterprising Pilgrims did (not dying of dysentery, neat hats, the eventual parlaying of the name of their ship into the fourth largest residential moving company in the nation!) we do have a lot to be grateful for...
We're thankful we live in a world where there will soon be a Lardo on every street corner.
That the good people of Division can now enjoy three different Andy Ricker joints without moving more than an eighth of a mile.
That we live in a world where full nudity and full bars can co-exist.
That Blue Star has finally mastered the art of filling donuts with booze.
That dessert cocktails are real. And delicious.
That we live in a state where people will gladly wait 2hrs for bacon and eggs, but whine endlessly when they have to take 5mins to sign up for insurance.
That our basketball arena takes its food more seriously than its... um, basketball.
That The Timbers made the playoffs! The Timbers made the playoffs! The Timbers made the playoffs and, despite a few bad eggs, totally crushed the Sounders.
That the best way to combat depression is literally to go to a bar.
And finally, we're thankful that we don't live in Seattle, or, even worse, Vancouver (gross!).
