If you're tired of Firkin around 400N when the hunger sets in from buying 80-packs of draws from the Hanes outlet, you're in luck, because the franchised Irish-y pub just got replaced by the street-slick four40, equipped with bamboo walls, graffiti'd brick, and a decidedly non-pub New American menu.

Apparently duck egg rolls w/ plum sauce are new in America, along with peach bruschetta w/ prosciutto, ostrich burgers, and half-pound non-ostrich burgers like the mozzarella/ balsamic reduction/ bruschetta-type tomato topping Tuscan. There're also pastas like the marinara seafood fra diavolo w/ shrimp & mussels, flatbreads (seared ahi w/ arugula & Sriracha vinaigrette), plus house chicken pot pie, lamb sirloin w/ mint demi glace, and a Jameson-sauced salmon, which clearly drinks like a fish.

To keep up with that salmon, cozy up to the horseshoe bar and order one of 16 drafts including Dale's Pale Ale and Heavy Seas Loose Cannon, too much of which -- just like visits to the Hanes store -- will result in some very brief conversations.
