Stiles Switch BBQ and Brew This Megatron will transform your waistline

Further contributing to Taylor, TX's great BBQ emigration is Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew, helmed by a Louie Mueller alum who's taken up residence in the N Lamar shopping center where they filmed Dazed and Confused, a movie that, the older you get...also gets older.

The meat's slow-cooked daily over post-oak in a six-ton, 18ft smoker dubbed "Megatron", a beast responsible for salt/pepper-rubbed 6hr brisket, three types of sausage (jalapeno cheddar, the 95% beef Thornton, and their original beef/pork blend), pork shoulder steak, turkey & chicken breast, and a 'peno chopped beef sandwich nicknamed the Buford T Diablo, yet another way finding the Secret Cow Level can make you fat.

Aside from onions, 'penos, and white bread, they're rocking sides like breadcrumb-crusted mac, potato salad, coleslaw, and pinto beans, and if you're a coward who went light on the meat, you can also grab desserts such as peach cobbler, chocolate chip cheesecake, and banana pudding, aka "how to eat an entire box of Nilla Wafers and still not hate yourself...much".

The brew half of the equation's starting simple (big-name taps + Austin Amber + Shiner = what's never leaving your drinking hand), but there are plans to expand with ATX craftiness like Austin Beerworks and Live Oak, basically all you need to send you over the Moon Tower.
