Bombay Spice

A 60-seat eatery (patio seating to come) lined with colorful banquettes, murals evoking Indian temples, and a take-out window on Clark St for those who need their curry in a hurry, BS boasts starters such as seven-spiced, flame-grilled lamb chops, tomato-studded chickpea ceviche, and yogurt-/ginger-marinated scallops sprinkled with pine nuts, which trees have in abundance thanks to all of their crotches. Entrees come in a choose-your-own format, starting with carbs (Basmati, brown rice, noodles), then piling on proteins from minced chicken keema to shrimp, before finishing off with one of five sauces (curry, masala, vindaloo..), and of course you can finish yourself off with one of the 25 international bottles checking in at under 25 bucks, which is still too few of them to beat the Heat.
