Snacking is as American as a couple of bites of apple pie, followed by a few more bites of apple pie 27min later. Opening today, the guys behind Nosh Eurobistro will take snacking global, with... well, Snack.
Built into the old Horne & Dekker -- which was definitely forced to close after Lloyd Bridges thought he'd been told to knock out somebody's wife -- this patio-equipped international street food operation also sports a whopping three bars, as booze is the ultimate light-bite (more on that later). The rotating menu will trot out the likes of spicy pork sausage flatbread, short rib tacos w/ pineapple habanero & cilantro cream, Thai crab puffs in sweet red curry, and the reason there was no Finding Nemo 2: crispy little fish w/ garlic aioli & romesco. On the days you don't work unless you're a pro athlete or just have a really crappy job, brunch on Tortilla de Papas (carnitas, spinach, soft poached egg), tacos like Tempura Alaskan Halibut, and Chocolate French Toast w/ toffee & espresso whip.
Now for that booze: get responsible with numbers like the Drunk Irish Dad (whiskey, ruby grapefruit, peach bitters), the John Cleese-nodding Basil's Fawlt (gin, strawberry, basil, lime, egg white), and the vodka, ruby grapefruit & agave wheat Morning After, because there's nothing more American than turning a walk of shame into a stumble.
