You might be forgiven for thinking that "New York style" just meant "fatter" -- and you definitely won't be dissuaded at Kings Rd's newly opened Brooklyn Bite, where the Big Apple native chef slings crispy-base one-&-a-half-foot 'za slathered in herb-marinaded red sauce (though once you've finished, there'll be none…left).
You can also opt for a huge slice or folded calzone, with such Five Borough'd flavours as the Fugetaboutit (pancetta, ham, pepperoni, salami), the fried calamari Sleep With The Fishes, or the simple, sun-dried tomato Bugsy, though again, this is not a meal for children, not even singing ones.
Downstairs finds the copper-topped bar, where alongside bottles of Brooklyn they'll rustle up cocktails like the 50/50 absinthe & Champagne AWOL, and the Pig's Nose whiskey/vermouth/sour Frisky, which you shan't be feeling after getting so fat.
