Hermit crabbing their way into the old Travertine/XIX space, the well-traveled team (Jean-Georges empire, Mercer Kitchen, etc.) behind K&C has built the space into a comfortably familiar bistro (walls of wine bottles, a raw bar, tufted leather banquettes), and's focusing on crowd-pleasers like squid w/ mint & chili greek yogurt sauce, fried chicken w/ honey & biscuits, and pork belly w/ polenta and ramps -- leave one so you'll have something to roll down when you leave.
