Because you were literally just saying, "Dude, if only there were two side-by-side places in Philly where we could get plantain-crusted snapper and 10 different kinds of mojitos and enjoy them all around an L-shaped pool in NoLibs", just know that there are, and they're open right now and called Havana Room and North Shore Beach Club. They're both total redos of the old Chenango and Arrow Swim Club, so much so, you'd probably need a two-paragraph breakdown of the newness. What have we here...

Havana Room: Chenango's vivid Southwestern theme is gone in favor of dark, muted colors on the walls and a menu full of Starr vet-prepped Cuban plates, like beef ragout-filled empanadas, an oven-roasted suckling pig (w/ sweet potato smash), the aforementioned snapper, and lobster medallion ceviche with a tempura claw, sooo, go go gadget peanut oil! Once you're full, wait 30mins so you don't get a tummy cramp, then submerge yourself in any of 10 flavored mojitos & brews like Purple Haze from Abita and Summer Wheat from Nude Beach, though with the right beer, any beach is a nude beach.

North Shore Beach Club: Starting with the big one, Arrow's $1k membership fee is gone in lieu of $500 memberships (wait-listed) and a $250 weekday deal (available now!), which'll get you through the gates to enjoy HDTV-equipped cabanas plus re-skinned loungers and daybeds on the sun deck, and around the crystal-clear, L-shaped pool, which you can dive into (not really, use the steps) as soon as you find a link to signing up. What have we here...
