Because you're always saying to yourself, "I really need to cut back on the inner monologue", but also, "I really can't decide whether I want a beer or a cupcake right now", finally have them both AT THE SAME TIME with Beer Cakes Philly, available starting today at Society Hill's Cookie Confidential.
The pet project of a culinary-schooled Philly chick, these suds filled-and-frosting'd treats are scratch-baked in CC's kitchen and all legitimately taste like beer (she pumps 1.5oz into every single one), with boozy deliciousness ranging from a bacon-apple with Victory Otto buttercream, to a maple-frosting-topped golden raisin-apple sporting Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA, to a Storm King Stout-spiked chocolate toffee cake (w/ coffee buttercream) dubbed the "King's Cup" -- have too many and you might be the one waterfalling down.
For now, there're 10 Beer Cakes offerings in all (including one with Dogfish Head's ApriHop seasonal and two more that use Lancaster and Voodoo brews), plus she'll still whip up a full-sized cake and entertain special cupcake requests, assuming, of course, there's that one beer you'd flat out die(alogue) for.
